The art of giving: a journey to discover the works donated to the Pinacoteca

On Sunday April 7, 2019, the cycle The art of gift continues in the Civic Art Gallery in the Campo quadro space, a treasure chest place, specially created to unveil, discover and contemplate new and exclusive works of jewelery. Journey to discover the works donated to the Art Gallery by patrons of today and yesterday. An opportunity for recognition to all those who have shown their affection for the cultural institution, allowing its continuous growth.

From April 7 to May 5, a work by Fabrizio Musa is visible, donated by the artist and exhibited in the Civic Art Gallery on the occasion of the Sant'Elia exhibition, at the origin of the project from November 25 2016 to February 26 2017, at the same time as his participation at the exhibition at the Triennale in Milan Antonio Sant'Elia, The future of cities.

The work is part of a series of works including the very recent bas-reliefs on wood exhibited at the Armory Show 2019 in New York, in which the artist has deepened a study on the genius of Sant'Elia after years dedicated to interpretation of Rationalism and architecture by Giuseppe Terragni.

As part of the exhibition, Wednesday April 10 at 6 pm, in the conference room of the Civic Art Gallery, a moment of confrontation will be promoted with the Como artist Fabrizio Musa, who will dialogue with Ivan Quaroni, art critic, curator and teacher of Contemporary Art History at the Aldo Galli Academy of Fine Arts - IED.
